Terms and Conditions

We don’t have too many rules but we need enough to make things work for all of us.

  1. Best Choice Direct is a UK based wholesale supplier of goods to businesses of all sizes. All goods are stored in our own warehouse and are despatch by us. Sorry we do not supply the general public.
  2. Minimum order value - we have a minimum order value of £70 inclusive of vat. For regular customers we understand the order value may on occasionally fall below this level and are willing to be flexible below this level on an occasional basis.
  3. Buying Groups – we have arrangements with a number of the Buying Groups. Please call to discuss.
  4. Order and Despatch
    1. In practice many orders are despatched on the day we receive them. Orders received later in the day will normally be despatched the next working day.
    2. We will always do our best to despatch order the same day where there is an urgent need, but please call us directly and as early as possible. The cut-off for courier collections from us is usually about 2.00pm - we do howvwer need time to process the order.
    3. Due to poor phone signals in many parts of the country, the ipad ordering system used by the reps can mean orders occasionally take several hours to reach us. If you require an urgent next day delivery please inform your rep when pacing the order.
    4. Where a representative cannot attend we can take orders over the phone. If you are ordering through one of the buying groups we will deliver and invoice in the normal manner.
    5. When non-buying group customers are ordering by telesales we reserve the right to ask for cleared funds before goods can be despatched
    6. Given the fast moving nature of the goods and occasional inbound supply issues we cannot guarantee full availability of goods at all times.
    7. All goods supplied are the property of Best Choice Direct until all outstanding monies owed by the customer are paid in full and without offset.
    8. Other than normal retail sale the customer cannot transfer title or otherwise sell goods held to a third party without the written permission of a Director of Best Choice Direct.
  5. Delivery
    1. All orders are despatched to be delivered on the next working day. Next day delivery works 99% of the time but it is not guaranteed. Delivery can only be made to business address between 8.00am and 5.00pm. At busy times the courier may deliver before or after these times. The delivery will need to be signed for.
    2. We can offer timed AM or Saturday deliveries at an extra cost.
    3. At the moment we deliver to England, Wales and Southern / Central Scotland (and the I.O.W). If you require a delivery outside of this area please call.
  6. Damages and Shortages We try really hard to make sure your delivery arrives with you in full and in good condition.
    1. If you believe you have a shortage or damage please call us within 1 working day of delivery. We cannot accept claim made significantly after delivery date.
    2. If you do notice some damage to the delivery we ask that you accept the delivery. We will resolve the problem directly with you. Returning goods increases the damage incuured, costs more and adds to the delay in sorting out the problem for you(couriers are good at delivering and quite poor when handling returns!) 
    3. IMPORTANT. Because we offer so many products in part cases, half cases or even individual units, a number of items can be packed into the same carton. Please open ALL cartons within the large delivery box before calling us. About 90% of the calls we receive are for missing goods which are not missing. For example, if you receive a box of Custard Creams and you cannot find the Bourbon biscuits, they are most likely packed in the same box together.
    4. Please report any damages to us within 1 day of delivery in order for us to amend the invoice accordingly.
  7. Sale or Return (S.O.R)
    1. We offer Sale or Return on goods supplied. However we all need to be reasonable:
      1. This offer can only be made to customers who operate with regular rep calls – minimum every 4 weeks.
      2. The goods have to be fully on retail sale to the public for the full extent of their shelf life.
      3. Goods with no shelf life are assumed to be ‘firm sale’, eg: Refuse sacks. Whilst the rep will do their best to move-on slow selling lines we cannot guarantee this service.
      4. The retailer has to offer the goods for sale at the recommended retail price.
      5. Where it is reasonable to do so we expect goods to be marked-down in price by the retailer as they approach the end of their shelf-life.
      6. Best Choice Direct cannot offer S.O.R to the retailer where the same product has been purchased from elsewhere and offered for retail sale at the same time, alongside the same goods supplied by Best Choice Direct.
      7. Where the retailer has in the opinion of Best Choice Direct ordered an excessive quantity of goods then it reserves the right to withdraw the offer of S.O.R.  
      8. Unfortunately we cannot offer S.O.R facilities to customers who do not receive a regular Rep call.
      9. Best Choice Direct reserves the right to withdraw S.O.R from any customer at any time without notice or reason.
      10. By using the Best Choice Direct web site to order goods you are confirming that you are a business, that the goods are intended for re-sale and that you know the nature of the goods you are purchasing. You also confirm that you are not a retail consumer with regard to the purchase and that the goods are purchased as part of your trade, business, craft or profession. You also confirm that the purchase is not covered by The Consumer Contracts Regulation 2013.
  8. Payment
    1. Payment can be by cash, cheque, card payment (call 01635 581116) or internet payment (account no 93293505 sort code 20-43-04). IMPORTANT please reference the invoice number or account number on any internet payment or posted cheque. Please make sure you retain your receipt.
    2. Where credit terms are offered they are for a maximum of 28 days. Payment less agreed credits must be made 4 weeks after the last order date.
    3. Where a retailer has arranged for a Buying Group to pay the invoice on behalf of the retailer we will invoice the Buying group directly and expect payment from them.
    4. If for any reason whatsoever the Buying Group fails to pay any outstanding balance attributed to the retailer in full and without offset, the retailer agrees to assume responsibility for the outstanding balance in full and without offset for all goods supplied by Best Choice Direct to the retailer.  
    5. ‘Bounced cheques’ are charged at an additional £20 added to the outstanding balance.
    6. A cleared funds balance will be required from any customer who has bounced a cheque before subsequent orders can be despatched.
    7. Best Choice Direct reserves the right to withdraw credit terms from any customer at any time without notice or reason and demand immediate payment for all goods supplied without offset.
